Wow. I can’t believe how long it has been since I have actually written something on my blog. I keep reblogging quotes and things I find cute, interesting or whatever from other bloggers but in about 4 months I haven’t sat down and wrote something myself. Its sad. Its bad. And it just shows how lazy I am. Or, that I have after months of ups and downs finally settled in in my new environment and I don’t really feel the need to write about it. I am happy where I am. And that’s that. Nothing more. The feeling of being content and at peace only came right after my winter vacation. The 2 weeks in the Philippines and Bali did me wonders! Wow. Wow. Wow. I cannot put into words how much beauty those places offer. I travelled alone and it was the best decision I have ever made. Meeting so many great people and just doing what I want for 2 weeks – lying on the beach, snorkelling, hiking, eating, drinking, boat cruises etc etc. I really want to go back. It was amazing. I also used my break time to try and figure out what I am going to do after Korea. My heart was set on going to Singapore and teaching Speech and Drama there at an Academy but the timing of when I can start there didn’t really fit me. I can only start there in February and my contract in Korea ends in August. So what am I to do for 6 months?? Sit at home and maybe get a waitressing job? No way… sooooo, I am renewing my contract in Korea and I will see how things go and then I can make my move to Singapore next year. I also need to save more money. I haven’t saved 1 cent since I have been here. Not good. Don’t tell my parents.
Oh, and I have a Korean boyfriend. Say what??? Yes. It’s crazy. It happened so unexpectedly and fast that I am still trying to figure out how it actually did happen. Haha. But as they say, things happen when you least expect or want it. So for now I am happy. He doesn’t feel foreign to me at all. I tell him that I still want to see his Korean side because he feels more western to me than some of the other western foreigners here. His English is great so I can just be me and talk as much as I always do and it’s so great to have someone that can speak Korean. A whole new world in Korea has opened up for me and I am really enjoying it. I am still wondering how my older brother and dad will react to this…haha. I told my younger brother and mom, but as you know, dad’s and older brother’s are very protective and I am not in the mood for all the questioning about it all (yet.).
So yeah, that’s about it in a nutshell. Oh, and I am visiting home in about 2 months!!! YAY!!! I CANNOT WAIT ANYMORE!!! :-D
